Todd Gilliland's wife, Marissa, shared a first for the couple on social media. Marissa posted a selfie with her husband Todd on an airplane to mark their first flight of the year ahead of the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season.
Gilliland is a 24-year-old NASCAR driver under Front Row Motorsports. He got married to Marissa in the Bahamas in January 2023 after his rookie year in the premier series.
In an Instagram post, Marissa Gilliland shared a glimpse of their early 2025 trip, with Todd wearing a cap from Love's Travel Stops, his sponsor for the upcoming season.
"Happy Sunday. First flight of the year!" Marissa wrote.
She followed up the selfie with a weather update, saying:
"21°F. It's chilly."
Todd Gilliland concluded 2024 with Front Row Motorsports in the No. 38 Ford Mustang Dark Horse. He scored four top-10 finishes including his best finishing position in sixth recorded in the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
For 2025, the North Carolina native will have a fresh start with new crew chief Chris Lawson, though the two had run multiple races before. The driver will also be paired with two new teammates, Noah Gragson and Zane Smith.
Gragson will drive the No. 4 Ford, while Smith will take over Gilliland's No. 38 car. Gilliland will run the team's flagship car, the No. 34, previously driven by Michael McDowell.
With Todd Gilliland set to run his fourth full-time NASCAR Cup Series schedule, he and his wife Marissa should tick off more flights this year.
Todd Gilliland's wife Marissa made her feelings known about No. 38
After running the No. 38 for three years, Todd Gilliland will switch to the No. 34 for the 2025 season. His wife Marissa said she didn't want to get rid of her No. 38 merchandise after the couple cleaned their house post-Christmas.
In an Instagram post, Marissa wrote:
"My 38 stuff. Why do I feel like I can't get rid of them."
This post was a follow-up to an earlier story where Todd was seen going through his clothes.
"Day after Christmas means getting this house back in order!! Even got Todd going through his clothes."
As mentioned earlier, Todd Gilliland's move to the No. 34 Ford Mustang is coupled with sponsorship from Love's Travel Stops, a travel stop company that has over 640 locations in the US. Love's sponsoring Gillilard marks a reunion after the duo first ran together in the Craftsman Truck Series in 2020.
Moreover, Gilliland's father, David, was also sponsored by Love's. The 2025 season will be the company's 13th consecutive season with Front Row Motorsports.
Love's will be featured on the No. 34 car for more than half of the 36-race season including the Daytona 500 season opener next month.
