Marissa Gilliland recently shared a glimpse from her Sunday morning coffee stop at Starbucks. She is married to Todd Gilliland, the Ford driver for Front Row Motorsports since 2022.
After an impressive 2021 Truck Series season, Gilliland popped the question to Marissa while on a trip to the Bahamas. The couple then tied the knot in the same picturesque location of the island country in January 2023.
In a recent social media post, Merissa updated her fans on Instagram about her love for Starbucks, a famed American coffeehouse chain. She also confessed how it "isn't good" to have the coffee shop near her home, which she pays visits often during her pure barre workout.
"Sunday mornings at home. Pure barre and coffee. I've said it before but having Starbucks next door isn't good for me," captioned Mrs. Gilliland on Instagram.
Gilliland's wife has often been spotted supporting and cheering for the Front Row Motorsports driver at several Cup Series races. Moreover, she penned a note for her "hubby" as NASCAR went into the offseason after the Phoenix Raceway.
"Proud of this year,": Merissa reflects on Todd Gilliland's third NASCAR season
As the Cup Series hosted its final race of the year at Phoenix Raceway, Todd Gilliland's wife, Merissa, shared a note on her husband's third full-time season in NASCAR's premier division.
In the Instagram post, Merissa wrote:
"Season 3 in the books❤️ Time sure is flying. Todd and the entire 38 team have lots to be proud of this year!! So thankful for everyone who makes it all happen for my Hubby🫶🏻 it’s now time to enjoy being home for a little!"
24-year-old Gilliland is set to take the wheels of #34 Ford from #38 and unite with Love's Travel Stop. He will not just reunite with his Truck Series sponsor but will follow in his father, David Gilliland, footsteps in representing Love's colors for the 2025 NASCAR season.
In a press release after this announcement, the Sherrils Ford, North Carolina native said (via NASCAR):
"It is really humbling to race the No. 34 Love’s Travel Stops Ford Mustang beginning next season. It’s just another cool moment in my career to race for a company that represented my father at FRM. The No. 34 Ford is what started FRM in the Cup Series, and there is a lot of history with Love’s, FRM and my family. I still remember watching my dad race the Love’s Ford.
Furthermore, Gilliland added:
“I did not take this next step lightly. I have seen the rise of the team and the new level of expectations. It is an honor that Love’s is putting their trust in me to continue to grow the team and compete for wins and get into the playoffs. I am gracious for this opportunity and look forward to 2025."
Todd Gilliland ended the 2024 season at P22 and showed speed in several races. His best finish was a P6 in the Brickyard 400 race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
In 36 starts for FRM, Gilliland accumulated four top-10 finishes and led 130 laps.
