Toni Breidinger foreseeing “a lot of challenges” in upcoming breakthrough season in NASCAR

Racing sensation Toni Breidinger is taking her NASCAR career to the next level in 2025. After finishing fourth in the ARCA Menards Series points standings in 2024, the 25-year-old is moving up to the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series full-time next season.

Breidinger will pilot the #5 Toyota for Tricon Garage. In an interview with racing insider Jonathan Howard via 5 GOATs, the California native discussed taking her racing career to the next level.

“I’m definitely excited for that next step,” Breidinger said. “Obviously, there is going to be a learning curve with it but Toyota’s been super supportive, and I’ve been preparing and like, grinding pretty hard during the offseason.”

Breidinger went on to give props to her primary sponsor, Celsius, an energy drink brand. The soon-to-be Truck Series rookie said Celsius helps her push through the trying days as she continues to get pumped up for the 2025 campaign.

“Definitely long days, a little bit chaotic, but that’s what Celsius is for, it gets me through it. I’m excited for the offseason and this coming season. I feel like this is a good time for me to prepare and get dialed in and be ready to go when the season starts.”

Looking ahead to 2025, Breidinger knows it isn't going to be easy when she gets out on the track with the other Truck Series competitors. However, Breidinger has some huge goals in mind, one of them being resilience.

“I’m definitely expecting the season to be tough, I think there’s going to be a lot of challenges. But I think [one goal] for me is resilience."

Breidinger competed in three Truck Series races in 2023, behind the wheel of the #1 truck, owned by former Cup Series driver David Gilliland. She achieved a best finish of 15th place at the Kansas Speedway. In 2024, she ran one more race under Gilliland, finishing 24th in the season-opening race at Daytona. Breidinger impressed in the ARCA Menards Series in 2024, driving the #25 Venturini Motorsports car. She recorded 11 top 10s en route to finishing fourth.

Tricon Garage announced Toni Breidinger would be their driver in 2025.

Two weeks ago, Tricon Garage broke the news via social media that Toni Breidinger would be moving up to the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series full-time in 2025 to pilot their #5 Toyota. The team announced her signing and declared that she'll be running for Rookie of the Year in 2025.

Tricon Garage penned a message that she posted on Instagram, writing:

Tricon Garage will field four full-time Truck Series rides in 2025. Breidinger will pilot the #5, while Corey Heim will drive the #11. Meanwhile, Tanner Gray will pilot the #15, and Gio Ruggiero will move up to the Truck Series to drive the #17.
