Three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Tony Stewart became a father last week, welcoming his first child, Dominic James Stewart. Since then he has been busy replacing his wife Leah Pruett in the NHRA series races but found some time to sit with his father Nelson. His team captured the moment and offered a "probable" caption.

Stewart and Pruett started dating in 2019. They got engaged in March 2021 and married in November of the same year. In the picture posted by the Tony Stewart Racing Nitro team, Stewart sits and talks to Nelson as he looks at the former Cup Series driver's smartphone with a smile. The team tweeted:

"“Dad, just look at how cute Dom is.” - @TonyStewart, probably"

Stewart shared how his love story began on an episode of Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s podcast last year.

Former co-owner of Stewart Haas Racing Tony Stewart was featured on Dale Junior Download last year and shared how he and Leah Pruett became a couple. He recalled having lunch with her in Gainesville, Florida, in early 2020. After the meal, she asked him about attending the annual Daytona Bike Week and booked a two-hour Uber ride:

"She's like, 'You ever been to Bike Week?' I'm like, 'Nope, always wanted to go to Bike Week, never been there.' She's like, 'I've never been either, let's go there.' So, she orders us an Uber to ride two hours and 15 minutes to Daytona. Because we knew we were going to get banged up. You're not going to go to Bike Week and not get banged up."

Stewart returned from Bike Week to Gainsville at five in the morning. Pruett flew to Las Vegas for a trade show, and the 49-time Cup Series winner stayed back thinking about her:

"I didn't have to be anywhere until Atlanta that weekend and I sat in Gainesville for a couple days and I'm like, 'That was different.' I guess that was the moment where I said, 'There's something different about this girl from all the others.'"

18-time NHRA winner Pruett took a break from racing in 2023 and the couple welcomed Dominic on November 14, 2024.
