Tony Stewart's wife, Leah Pruett, has expressed gratitude towards individuals who joined the 25th anniversary of her husband's race team. Among the announcements was the appointment of a new general manager of Eldora Speedway last September, who Stewart described as a 'godsend' entity.

Levi Jones, a USAC (United States Auto Club) legend who won six of his seven championships with Tony Stewart Racing (TSR), is the new Eldora Speedway boss. Jones ensures the growth of the Ohio-based half-mile track through promotions and managerial strategies.

Leah Pruett reposted TSR's Instagram story where Tony Stewart praised Jones, who just came off the director role at Indy NXT.

"Thank you to all those that joined us today! #25in25," Pruett wrote.

In the IG story above, Stewart spoke about Jones, saying:

"With Levi Jones, he's now taking the reigns at Eldora Speedway for us and has been a godsend since he's been there already."

Meanwhile, Levi Jones said (via Forbes):

“Being general manager of Eldora Speedway is a huge opportunity and I’m grateful for it [...] We are passionate that Eldora remains the preeminent dirt track in the world, and that’s my aim as general manager.”

Tony Stewart purchased Eldora Speedway in 2004 while driving for Joe Gibbs Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series. His newest general manager, Levi Jones, succeeded the late Jerry Gappens who died in 2022 due to complications of a medical procedure.

Jonathan Bateman was the track's interim GM for two years.

While the Eldora Speedway usually hosts USAC, the track also once held Craftsman Truck Series races. However, Stewart decided to drop the partnership in 2019 after learning the league had no plans to add Cup and Xfinity Series races to his track.

Tony Stewart shares his thoughts on becoming a parent with Leah Pruett

Since the withdrawal of NASCAR races at Eldora Speedway, Tony Stewart had several significant moments. Perhaps the biggest was becoming a parent after he and his wife Leah Pruett welcomed their son Dominic James.

Speaking with veteran NASCAR reporter Bob Pockrass, the 53-year-old driver said:

"Everything that happened overnight, it's one of the coolest days of my life, obviously." [1:02]

Stewart also commended his wife for taking time off to focus on family planning.

"My wife is unbelievable. She's a way tougher woman than I will ever be as a man. To do what she did and to make the decision a year ago to step out of the car and take herself away from what she loves so much to start a family and to go through this journey that's taken a whole year and to see it come to fruition today and to see her go through this process, super proud of her as my wife, my partner, and as a woman in general," the former NASCAR driver added.

The three-time NASCAR champ welcomed his son during the final race weekend at NHRA (National Hot Rod Association) last month. After completing Saturday's qualifying session, he flew out to see his son before returning to Pomona Dragstrip for the race on Sunday.

Aside from starting a family, Stewart also left NASCAR as a team owner, ending his involvement in the league that lasted about three decades.
