After an action-packed triple-header at Pocono Raceway last week, NASCAR headed to Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The weekend started with the TSport 200 at the Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway. ThorSport Racing driver Ty Majeski bagged his first win of 2024 in the 200-lap event.
Ty Majeski took the lead for the first time from the current points leader, Christian Eckes, on lap 145. Holding on to the lead over the final 55 laps, Majeski shone to his second consecutive win at IRP, his first of 2024, and the fourth of his career.
The current Craftsman Truck Series season is just one race away from the round of 10 opener at the Milwaukee Mile Speedway. Needless to say, the hype was high during Friday night's race at the IRP. On that note, let's take a look at the top 5 paint schemes of the race via Jayski:
1. Ty Majeski
Ty Majeski wheeled the No. 98 Ford F-150 for ThorSport Racing paired with crew chief Joe Shear Jr. The ride was sponsored by Road Ranger, a renowned chain of travel centers, truck stops, and convenience stores based in Schaumburg, Illinois. Majeski's truck flaunted the signature Road Ranger logo on its doors, matched by red, blue, and white sections all over it.
2. William Sawalich
17-year-old development driver for Joe Gibbs Racing in the ARCA platforms, William Sawalich finished 12th in the 137.2-mile race. He drove the No. 1 Toyota Tundra for TRICON Garage which bore a fiery-orange and black paint scheme. His ride was sponsored by Starkey and SoundGear, two industry leads in the world of hearing solutions.
3. Mason Massey
Mason Massey drove the No. 02 Chevrolet for Youngs Motorsports on Friday. Brunt Workwear funded Masseys's ride. Unfortunately, the bright red Chevy with the official Brunt logo printed on the hood was out of contention 44 laps into the race due to an accident. As a result, Massey had to leave the field with a DNF.
4. Nick Sanchez
Nick Sanchez drove the #2 Gainbridge Chevrolet Silverado yesterday. With its headquarters in Zionsville, Indiana, Gainbridge assists its customers to get their hands on reliable annuities that in turn, help them to grow their savings over time. 23-year-old Nick Sanchez finished 10th in the race driving the blue, yellow, and black Chevy.
5. Marco Andretti
Marco Andretti drove the #04 Chevrolet Silverado to a P25 finish at Indianapolis Raceway Park. His entry in the race was sponsored by Group 1001, a collective organization that empowers companies to upscale through planned business strategies. They also help individuals choose safe annuity products to maximize their savings over time. Andretti's truck bore patches of navy blue with hints of sky blue and orange here and there.
Meanwhile, NASCAR prepares to run the next race on its schedule, the Xfinity Series Pennzoil 250 on Saturday, followed by the most-awaited Brickyard 400 the day after.
