Justin Marks, the proud owner of Trackhouse Racing, celebrated the team's eighth NASCAR Cup Series victory, which came thanks to Ross Chastain last Sunday. In a heartwarming social media post, Marks expressed his gratitude to the drivers, mechanics, crew chiefs, and everyone who contributed to the team's success.

Chastain had a brilliant day at Kansas as he dominated the Hollywood Casino 400, finishing ahead of Hendrick Motorsports driver William Byron and Joe Gibbs Racing driver Martin Truex Jr. This was Chastain's first win of the 2024 season.

Interestingly, the #1 driver victory marked Trackhouse Racing's second win of the season and their eighth overall Cup Series triumph in just three years. In a heartfelt X post, Justin Marks shared his thoughts on this significant milestone.

"I am very proud of this organization. 8th win in 3 years and 3rd season in a row with multiple drivers in VL. First win I’ve missed in person but watching our employees and partners celebrate and feel pride and happiness has absolutely filled my cup this evening. So happy for everyone that believes in and works hard for this organization. It’s all about them," he wrote.

Marks co-founded Trackhouse Racing with renowned American star Pitbull and Avenue Sports Fund in 2020. The team made its debut at the 2021 Daytona 500 and currently fields two drivers, Daniel Suarez and Ross Chastain.

Marks recently expressed his desire to expand Trackhouse Racing with a third charter. In addition to NASCAR, the team has also ventured into MotoGP, fielding two riders, Raul Fernandez and Miguel Oliveira.

While Ross Chastain's victory at Kansas delighted Justin Marks and Trackhouse Racing, Daniel Suarez's win could have meant a whole lot more. Suarez is a part of the NASCAR playoffs, and a win would have secured his round-of-eight berth.

Just like any other Trackhouse member, Chastain wants Suarez to win and see him progress to the next round. However, not at the cost of his own victory. Speaking about this, here's what the #1 driver said in a post-race media interaction:

"I wish the #99 — I wish that Daniel was the one winning, but not at the expense of the #1 car and not at the expense of me."

Suarez's 13th-place finish at Kansas has put him in a precarious position. He is currently on the bubble with -14 points, facing the risk of elimination from the Round of 12. To secure his place, Suarez must deliver strong performances in the upcoming races at Talladega and Charlotte.
