Trackhouse Racing's Daniel Suarez uploaded a post on Instagram to ring in Christmas. The No. 99 NASCAR driver uploaded a picture with his cat, Pep.
Suarez uploaded the picture the day before Christmas Eve and the picture was seemingly clicked at the Trackhouse Racing driver’s home in Charlotte, North Carolina. Suarez can be seen looking fondly at his cat in the picture as he captioned the post:
“Pep and I are ready for Christmas!! 🙏🙏🎄”
Suarez was wearing a white T-shirt in the picture paired with grey sweatpants. The T-shirt had two smitten bunnies printed on the back with three red hearts. The background of the photo, the living room, had a Christmas tree laden with red, golden, and silver ornaments.
The Mexican driver began his stock car racing career in the late 2000s in the Mexican NASCAR series and then moved to the US to race in the K&N Pro series. 2024 was a big year for Daniel Suarez as he passed the US citizenship test in April and became a dual citizen of Mexico and the USA later in June.
The 32-year-old also married his long-time girlfriend Julia Piquet in July, a month after becoming a US citizen. The wedding took place in Brazil. With the NASCAR season ongoing at the time, the couple couldn't go on a honeymoon. The season ended in the second week of November with Daniel Suarez and his wife leaving for their honeymoon on December 1st.
The couple went to Japan and shared multiple posts on Instagram as they visited different cities in the Land of the Rising Sun. Suarez also extended his contract with Trackhouse Racing in 2024.
“Working, growing and winning more” - Daniel Suarez on extending with Trackhouse Racing for 2025
Daniel Suarez finished 12th in the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series championship with Trackhouse Racing. His best result of the season came in the Ambetter Health 400 where he won the race. The best result of his Cup Series career, which began in 2017, also came with Trackhouse Racing when he finished 10th in the 2022 championship standings.
As the contract extension was announced, Suarez said in an official statement:
“Trackhouse is home to me and I have enjoyed every minute I have been here. We plan to keep working, growing and winning more races. We can only do that with the support of my Amigos and Amigas at Freeway Insurance. They have backed me for the last several years and we have grown close with their customers and employees.”
The contract extension was announced in the second week of August. Suarez will continue to drive the No.99 Chevrolet for the 2025 season.
