NASCAR driver Tyler Reddick's son, Beau recently shared his three favorite drivers in the series, his dad, Bubba Wallace, and NASCAR’s Most Popular Driver, Chase Elliott.
Reddick competes in the Cup Series for Denny Hamlin and NBA legend Michael Jordan's team 23XI Racing. The 28-year-old got married to wife Alexa last July and has a four-year-old son. The couple are expecting their second child in July this year.
Beau was present for many of Reddick's races last season and in a recent Instagram fan question session, he talked about his three favorite drivers in NASCAR with Alexa. When asked if he was still a fan of Chase Elliott, Beau said:
"Yes, I am."
Alexa Reddick's in-video text also revealed that the youngster is a fan of his father and his 23XI Racing teammate, Bubba Wallace.
"Chase, Bubba & Tyler," she wrote.
Reddick talked about his son Beau’s interest in racing and how he wanted him to commit to something in October last year.
"It's pretty obvious that he [Beau] only really talks to Lex [Alexa] about it, okay? And he doesn't like mentioning it to me. Interesting. I wanted to see how well he would, uh, commit himself to something, you know," Tyler Reddick said.
"Baseball’s a lot cheaper than racing, so he’s been playing t-ball, and I just want to see how well he... how much he's willing to commit himself to something that, on the good days, the bad days, the not-so-fun days of practice or a game that doesn’t go good, how much you’re willing to commit yourself to it, because I think in, um, racing, that’s important," he added. Reddick started racing at the young age of 4 and a half years in Outlaw Karts and later joined mini sprints, midgets, and dirt late models.
Tyler Reddick and wife Alexa announce an addition to their family of three
Tyler Reddick and his wife Alexa shared the news they are expecting a second baby in June on Instagram. They posted pictures with their son, Beau who held a "Big Brothers Are the Best" book.
"A new year and a new family member is coming to the Reddick household! Baby #2 arriving in June," the post read.
Reddick had a great season in the No. 45 Toyota Camry XSE last year. He matched his career high (three) in wins and set new personal bests in top fives, top 10s, and laps led. He also won the regular season championship, qualified for the Championship 4, and finished fourth in the championship race at Phoenix.
Tyler Reddick will return to NASCAR in 2025 for 23XI Racing's fourth season at the NASCAR Clash at Bowman-Gray Stadium.
