NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon was once on an episode of the NASCAR After the Lap show, where he busted out incredible dance moves and earned a high-five from NASCAR pit reporter Jamie Little. Gordon retired from NASCAR in 2015 and is currently the Vice Chairman at Hendrick Motorsports.
NASCAR Hall of Famer Gordon has accumulated 93 Cup race victories in his career spanning 25 years, piloting the #24 entry for Hendrick Motorsports. Gordon achieved his first victory in the sport at the 1994 Coca-Cola 600 and started his career with a Crown Jewel victory. He is also a four-time Cup Series champion and has a myriad of wins at all Crown Jewel events.
Gordon holds multiple records that have not been broken thus far, including the maximum number of race wins in a season, which he achieved in the 1998 Cup Series. There are very few drivers to have achieved as much as Gordon has in the sport, making him a NASCAR legend.
Jeff Gordon not only stole the show multiple times behind the wheel of the #24 Chevy but he also surprised fans with his dance skills. In an episode of NASCAR After the Lap in 2011, Gordon showcased his impressive moves, stunning the audience. His performance even earned him a high five from the host, Fox News announcer and pit reporter Jamie Little. Here's a look at Gordon's mesmerizing dance moves:
Gordon retired from NASCAR in 2015, finishing on a high note with an overall P3 finish in the driver standings. He also secured a victory at the playoff race in Martinsville, marking the last win of his illustrious career.
After retiring, Gordon transitioned to the role of NASCAR analyst for Fox News. He now serves as the Vice Chairman at Hendrick Motorsports (HMS), the same team with whom he made history in the sport.
"Biggest threat to the championship" - Jeff Gordon backs HMS driver Kyle Larson to win the 2024 Cup Series
Hendrick Motorsports #5 driver Kyle Larson has been consistently putting in strong performances this season. Larson has secured four Cup race wins thus far and is currently leading the driver standings.
Larson's latest victory came at NASCAR's return to the Indianapolis Oval in the Brickyard 400. After Larson's win at the crown jewel, Jeff Gordon backed the HMS driver to win the Cup Series title this season. He said (via NASCAR on X):
"I think the #5 team is very, very strong. One of the best teams out there obviously. I think they, now having this win under their belt, really is going to set the tone for the rest of the season, of who's the biggest threat to the championship."
"I know that this is not Phoenix, but it's about momentum and confidence, and being able to step up in the biggest moments. I think today was one of those big moments for the team," he added.
With four regular-season races remaining before the playoffs, Kyle Larson holds a slim ten-point lead over his Hendrick Motorsports teammate Chase Elliott. As NASCAR heads to Richmond Raceway on August 11, Larson will look to maintain his advantage and secure the regular-season title.
