Seven-time Cup Series race winner Tyler Reddick survived the ROVAL 400 playoff elimination race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The #45 driver was congratulated by 23XI Racing's team owners Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan as he stepped out of his car in the pit lane.

Reddick clinched the 2024 Cup Series Regular Season title at Darlington Raceway with two race wins, 10 Top 5s, and 18 Top 10 finishes. However, apart from a sixth-place finish at Atlanta, he was unable to finish higher than P20 in the next four playoff races. This pushed the 23XI driver to the edge of the elimination bubble (seventh) ahead of the Bank of America ROVAL 400 race at Charlotte.

Despite sustaining damage during Stage 2 of the race, Reddick and his #45 team kept their heads down and pushed towards the chequered flag, finishing 11th in the process. Scoring crucial 36 points for the race and one playoff point, the Californian racer is now standing third in the driver's table, thereby securing his place in the 'Round of 8.'

This prompted both team owners Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan to congratulate Reddick for his impressive drive throughout the race. The 28-year-old driver has also propelled the team into the next stage of the NASCAR Playoffs in the 2024 season.

Here's a look at a reel from Instagram posted by 23XI Racing after the race ended.

"One team. One dream. 🏆 Approval from both bosses for @tyler_reddick 🙌🙌," the caption read.

Apart from Reddick, 23XI co-owner and Joe Gibbs Racing driver Hamlin has also entered the "Round of 8" of the 2024 Playoffs. However, unlike the former, the #11 JGR racer (sixth place) is inside the elimination bubble ahead of the final round of the championship.

"You got to stay focused," - Regular Season champion Tyler Reddick said after a tough recovery drive at Charlotte

Starting the ROVAL 400 race in second position, the 2024 Cup Series Regular Season champion Tyler Reddick was likely looking at finishing in the Top 10 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. However, a stack-up on turn 7 on lap 31 saw the Californian racer drop to 36th position at the end of Stage 2.

Despite the odds, th 28-yeaar-old and his #45 team managed a strong recovery drive in Stage 3 by finishing the race in 11th place.

"It's tough. But I mean you just you just got to stay calm. You got to stay focused in those moments. Man, it's so easy to lose track of what you can control and just I knew we had to. I mean either way I was gonna drive the car as fast as I could and it just worked out for us. This thing was able to get back up through the field and get us to the good side of the cut line," Reddick said during the post-race interview (1:01 onwards).
