After just missing a historic win at the NHRA DENSO Sonoma Nationals in California, Tony Stewart addressed a racing question from Leah Pruett. She asked for advice on tackling the Level 1 Naval Valley course for newcomers.

In response to the question, Stewart, who has a $90 million net worth (via Celebrity Net Worth), emphasized the importance of being attuned to the feedback from the steering wheel.

Tony Stewart, who is all set to dissolve his NASCAR Racing team - Stewart-Haas Racing - after this season, is on his way to becoming the first driver to win major professional races in four different disciplines: NASCAR, IndyCar, USAC, and NHRA. Meanwhile, Mobil 1 has teamed up with Forza Motorsport to offer gaming and motorsport enthusiasts a chance to race against legends like Tony Stewart and recent INDY NXT winner Jamie Chadwick with Legend vs. Leaderboard.

They'll be able to compete on Maple Valley, a track that boasts a classic American theme and features Mobil 1 branding within the game.

When Leah Pruett sought Tony Stewart’s advice for newcomers like herself hitting the Maple Valley course for the first time, he emphasized the nuances of virtual racing. Stewart said:

"Pay very close attention to the feedback in the steering wheel because that's going to tell you all the information of what that car likes and dislikes. Once you've learned to lay out, learning that and feeling the car through your hands- because you're not physically sitting in a real car, obviously.
"So, the only way that you're truly physically feeling the car is through your hands. So, if you pay attention to that, you will learn what that 69 Mustang likes and dislikes. And once you figure that out, then you can really start shaving time off."

The inaugural Legend vs. Leaderboard event will pit participants against NASCAR legend Tony Stewart. He has set a high bar with his top time in the game, challenging fans to surpass it on the leaderboard.

Competitors will all drive the same car, a classic 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 302, and race on the same circuit, Maple Valley. This fictional track, a fan favorite set in Vermont, first appeared in the 2005 debut of Forza Motorsport.

What went down with Tony Stewart at the NHRA DENSO Sonoma Nationals?

Tony Stewart, a three-time NASCAR Cup Series champ at Sonoma Raceway, hadn't raced on the track since his last Cup Series victory in 2016. He had been preparing to compete at the Denso Sonoma Nationals, but narrowly missed the mark—losing by just about 10 feet or 0.0214 seconds to Antron Brown, a 77-time winner, in his 12th professional event.

Stewart outpaced Shawn Langdon, Justin Ashley, and Ron August Jr. in the initial three rounds amid cheers from the crowd in the pleasant 75-degree weather. Although he had a faster start than Brown, the latter's car ultimately surged past Stewart (3.774), with a time of 3.746 in the Top Fuel event title race.

Tony Stewart’s knack for quick starts was on full display, especially in his runs against top competitors like Ashley in the second round and Brown in the finals. The runner-up finish keeps him within the top 10 in the NHRA Mission Top Fuel points standings as they gear up for the NHRA Lucas Oil Nationals in Brainerd, Minn., slated for August 16-18.
