Hendrick Motorsports driver Kyle Larson's 21-year-old prodigy, Corey Day, finished fourth at the Reese's 150 ARCA race held at the Kansas Speedway. He caught Larson's attention after his debut race in Bristol, and the #5 driver believes Day "is better than him." However, ARCA driver Andy Jankowiak is not happy with what happened between him and Day in the last lap of the race.

Day finished the 100-lap race in fourth place and was 2.108 seconds behind the leader, Tanner Gray from Joe Gibbs Racing. On the other hand, Jankowiak finished in seventh place with a gap of 7.428 seconds. Jankowiak had a good restart and was going bumper-to-bumper in the last couple of laps. But the Hendrick Motorsports' 21-year-old prodigy pushed Jankowiak into the wall on the last lap.

This caused the #73 driver to lose his spot in the top five and finish in seventh place. Before the collision, Jankowiak was in third place and leading the 18-year-old part-time NASCAR driver Connor Zilisch. However, the collision from Day changed the results of the race, and Zilisch finished in second place.

The 36-year-old ARCA Acacia energy driver was not pleased by the Hendrick Motorsports driver Corey Day for pushing him into the wall and confronted him after the race.

In a post-race interview, Jankowiak expressed his anger about the crash. He said:

"I guess I got to stop being so nice to everybody, because I'm trying to give guys room out there, and it's not coming back. The other way, we're getting run over by, you know, Hendrick Motorsports cars. And, you know, I don't know, we're a smaller team, and we're fighting really hard for good finish this year, and we had a top five day there." [00:13]

The interviewer asked the #76 driver about his conversation with Hendrick Motorsports' Corey Day, to which Jankowiak replied:

"I don't know. You know we're the little guys. We're just trying to fight for our steak, and we're trying to be fair with everybody. So I don't know; he just, he got into me, and he kept into me, and he just stayed into me. So I don't know what else to say about that. He said I didn't give enough room. I said I was in the wall. So what to say about that?" [01:18]

"I'm not here to settle for a top five," Corey Day shares details about his goal in the ARCA series

After finishing fourth in the race, Corey Day spoke on his first ARCA race experience and the feud he got with the #73 driver during a post-race interview. Day explained that Jankowiak was outside and got in his air, which resulted in the collision.

"If he would have entered up and, you know, gave me air on my door, he probably would ended up driving right. Driving around me, but, you know, just put out. I guess I kind of put myself in that spot. Could have lifted, but, you know, it's the last lap, and would have stuck," stated Day. [00:16]

The interviewer also questioned the #82 driver about the confrontation the 36-year-old ARCA driver had with him. Day replied saying he was "not here to settle for a top five" and that he was here to "win," and drivers will always have disagreements in races.
