Carson Hocevar made an impressive move to avoid a wreck during the NASCAR race at the Pocono Raceway this past Sunday. The multi-car wreck was caused by contact between Kyle Busch and Corey LaJoie, about 40 laps before the finish.

Multiple drivers, including Ricky Stenhouse Jr., AJ Allmendinger, and Harrison Burton, were caught in the act. However, Carson Hocevar avoided it with his sharp reflexes.

21-year-old Hocevar races full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 77 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Spire Motorsports. He began racing at the young age of seven. Over the years, he has found success in various racing series, including the ARCA and the NASCAR Truck Series.

The video captured the intense moment at the sold-out Pocono Raceway perfectly. Watch the in-car footage below.

The incident involved seven drivers in total: Kyle Busch, Corey LaJoie, Carson Hocevar, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., AJ Allmendinger, and Harrison Burton.

It all started with a collision between Busch and LaJoie, and Busch went sliding across the grass in the infield and back onto the track. This resulted in a chain reaction.

Hocevar would have been caught in the wreck but he avoided the chaos by moving out with quick thinking. Driving for Spire Motorsports, he managed to stay on the track and finished 17th in the race.

LeJoie defended himself against blame and attributed the incident to Busch, adding that Busch blocked him twice, which caused the incident.

Fans praise Carson Hocevar for impressive rearguard action

NASCAR fans were clearly impressed with Carson Hocevar's composure during the wreck, and many replied with humor and praise.

Colin K added, "Damn what a save."
Kdon remarked, "Bro hit the Tokyo drift."

Making a return to his top-20 streak after a set-back the previous week in Chicago, Hocevar finished 17th in the race and continued his consistent run of form.

April Cobb shared, "Great job! I was cringing watching yesterday. And going oh no not again caught up in someone else's mess."
Michael Boley highlighted Hocevar's luck, "Man you got so lucky there. If Busch hadn’t been sent by Lajoie you probably would’ve just wrecked Preece."

Meanwhile, Ryan Blaney, the current NASCAR Cup Series champion, won the Pocono Raceway. Driving the No. 12 Team Penske Ford, he beat Denny Hamlin for his second win this season and 12th overall.

You can catch more NASCAR action at the upcoming Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sunday, July 21st.
