Hendrick Motorsports driver Chase Elliott recently took on a unique role as a drive-thru server as a part of collaboration with global beverage giant Coca-Cola for the upcoming race this weekend. Earlier this week, HMS announced that Coco Cola will serve as the primary sponsor for Elliott in the NASCAR Cup Series Cook Out 400 at Richmond Raceway on Sunday (August 11).

In a video shared by Hendrick Motorsports on social media, the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series champion can be seen surprising fans at a restaurant, taking their orders, and serving them coke. The video has gained attention among fans, showing a different side of their NASCAR's Most Popular Driver outside of the racetrack.

On Friday, HMS shared the video on X, with the following caption:

“We’ll take a large Coke, please.”

Coca-Cola will bring its iconic red and white colors paint scheme to the #9 Chevrolet at 0.75-mile short track in Richmond Raceway. The brand joined HMS as the official beverage partner of Elliott and his team last season.

The 28-year-old Dawsonville-Georgia native has been associated with Coca-Cola Racing with fellow drivers Austin Dillon, Denny Hamlin, Joey Logano, and Daniel Suarez.

Chase Elliott is optimistic of securing a victory with the Coca-Cola paint scheme, with NASCAR returning after two weekend offs due to the Olympic break.

Ahead of Sunday's race, Elliott stated that Richmond’s short track has not been the strongest track for him, but he has an average of 8.8 over six starts in NASCAR’s Gen-7 era.

“I'm excited to have Coca-Cola on board this weekend. There's a lot of history with Coca-Cola, with myself and my family, and it couldn't be a more natural fit. Richmond hasn't particularly been a strong track for me, but we had a good finish there in the spring, so I'm looking forward to getting back there and seeing what we can do. It'd be great to get this Coca-Cola scheme to victory lane,” Elliott said, as reported by speedwaydigest.com.

Through 22 races so far, Chase Elliott has scored one win, seven top-five finishes, and 11 top-10 finishes. With four races remaining in the regular season, Elliott currently holds the second position in the Cup Series points table with 739 points. He is just 10 points behind his teammate Kyle Larson to win his second regular-season championship, a title he won in 2022.
