Stewart-Haas Racing's Cole Custer had an exciting night at an NXT wrestling event this week. He appeared as a special guest on the show, helped win a wrestling match and later danced in the ring.

The defending NASCAR Xfinity Series champion appeared on the latest episode of WWE NXT as part of a promotion with The CW Sports and WWE NXT. His No. 00 Ford Mustang Dark Horse will feature WWE NXT branding during his next playoff race in Homestead, Miami.

Custer walked in with wrestlers Hank Walker and Tank Ledger (Hank & Tank) to their tag team match against OTM. He helped Hank & Tank win by hitting OTM’s Bronco Nima with his helmet. The CW Sports tweeted a video of Cole Custer dancing with Hank, Tank, and WWE star Lola Vice after the win. The CW Sports captioned it:

"That's gotta be worth some @NASCAR_Xfinity Series Playoff points. #WWENXT."

Custer earned the regular season championship title this season by winning the final race at Bristol last month. He is currently second in the Xfinity Series playoff standings behind Jr Motorsports' Justin Allgaier.

Custer is 16 points above the cut line heading into the Round of 8 this weekend.

"I don’t know if I would ever call myself a dancer" - Cole Custer after WWE NXT appearance

Cole Custer also shared his experience on the October 22 episode of NXT. In a backstage interview, Custer talked about the fun he had with the collaboration.

"Just learning everything today was absolutely insane. Its awesome to have this collaboration... I don’t know if I would ever call myself a dancer. Somebody said when I went behind the stage that I’m gonna be a part of Dancing with the Stars. But I don’t think that’s ever gonna happen," Custer said.

Custer will next race at the Homestead-Miami Speedway this Saturday, October 26. Wrestler Trick Williams will also be featured on the hood of his car.

"Yeah, we race in Homestead, Miami, this weekend, and we have NXT on the car, got Trick Williams on the hood, so it’s really cool. Really cool collaboration with CW and NXT, and just really, I’m looking forward to coming back because this has been an unreal experience," he added.

With Stewart-Haas Racing closing after this season, Custer announced earlier this year that he will return to the Cup Series in 2025.

The 26-year-old will drive the No. 41 car for the Haas Factory Team. The team will stay with Ford, sponsored by Haas Automation, with help from RFK Racing and Ford Performance.
