There was a time when former Stewart-Haas Racing drivers Clint Bowyer and Kevin Harvick made cameo appearances in a Mobil 1 commercial. The Ford NASCAR team relived the same through a recent post on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Mobil 1 has been a partner of Stewart-Haas Racing since 2011. The American fuel company has sponsored several drivers over the years, including Bowyer, Harvick, Aric Almirola, and Cole Custer.

Reflecting on the commercial, Stewart-Haas Racing tweeted:

"This @mobil1racing commercial? Forever iconic."

Stewart-Haas Racing, owned by Hall of Famer Tony Stewart and automotive tycoon, Gene Haas, will close its operations at the Cup level at the end of this year. The North Carolina-based outfit has reportedly put three of its four charters up for sale.

Gene Haas will retain the fourth charter and form a new team in 2025: the Haas Factory Team. Haas confirmed that Cole Custer will drive the No. 41 Haas Factory Team machine in 2025.

Chase Briscoe, Josh Berry, and Noah Gragson, all of whom are current Stewart-Haas Racing drivers, have already landed deals ahead of the upcoming season. Briscoe will replace Martin Truex Jr. behind the wheel of the No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota.

Berry will replace Harrison Burton at Wood Brothers Racing, and Gragson will pilot the No. 34 Front Row Motorsports Mustang instead of Michael McDowell. McDowell, a former Daytona 500 winner, will move to Spire Motorsports under a multi-year deal.

As of now, the only driver yet to land a spot for the 2025 season is Riley Herbst. The 25-year-old Las Vegas native recently commented on his NASCAR future amid SHR's imminent shutdown, saying:

"Hopefully, everything will sort itself out here shortly, but I don’t see anything happening in the meantime."

Kevin Harvick makes early Championship 4 predictions

As NASCAR prepared for its upcoming race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday, October 20th, Kevin Harvick made a prediction about who would be the top 4 drivers this year at Phoenix Raceway on an episode of his Happy Hour podcast

"I think, for me, William Byron, Kyle Larson, Christopher Bell and Tyler Reddick. I just think that Reddick is going to be able to get it done on one of these two race tracks, and I don’t see (Joey) Logano and (Ryan) Blaney having the speed."

Harvick opined:

"Chase Elliott has been very consistent, and he’s had quality, good finishes, but I just haven’t seen that dominance out of those three guys. Denny Hamlin, I think he’s the wild card," Harvick opined.

The coveted Championship race will be held on November 10th (3 PM ET onwards) and will air live on NBC with radio updates on MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. Trackhouse Racing driver Ross Chastain is the reigning champion at the mile-long superspeedway in Avondale, Arizona.
