Tony Stewart and Dale Earnhardt Jr. once made a special appearance in a famous music video, in which the two NASCAR legends raced each other on a street.

Apart from competing on the ovals for more than 18 years, the former Cup Series drivers-turned owners starred and drove their Chevys in 'The Road I'm on' music video of American rock band, 3 Doors Down. This was the only music video that featured the three-time Cup Series champion, Stewart. On the other hand, the JR Motorsports co-owner Dale Jr. has made cameos in several videos, such as Jay-Z's Show Me What You Got, Rockstar by Nickelback, and Warrior by Kid Rock.

A user on X (formerly Twitter) shared a clip of the two NASCAR Hall of Famers showcasing their prolific driving skills in a music video.

"When Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Tony Stewart were in a 3 Doors Down music video," the user wrote on X.

The SHR co-owner Stewart retirement from racing full-time after the 2016 season and has been mainly focused on his business ventures, most recently in NHRA drag racing.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. has been competing part-time in the Xfinity Series since his full-time retirement in 2017. He has also ventured into broadcasting and will be seen in the booth of Amazon Prime and TNT for the 2025 NASCAR season.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Tony Stewart once revealed how a post-crash fight led to their friendship

During a 2019 episode of the Dale Jr. Download podcast, the NASCAR Hall of Famers discussed how a crash at the 1998 Xfinity race at Pikes Peak International Raceway birthed their friendship.

In the conversation, the 50-year-old Dale Jr. recalled his altercation with Stewart's then-crew chief after getting called to the NASCAR hauler. He said:

"Me and Tony Stewart racing at Pikes Peak. I was trying to pass Tony and run into him over and over and over, and he finally punted me down into Turn one on the restart. And they asked us to come to the NASCAR hauler and so we went there and there was an altercation, and pushing and shoving between me and his crew chief, and Tony senior was kind of in it and Stewart he was in it but nobody really ever got popped or anything."

Dale Jr. then claimed that this was the first time he met Stewart and narrated what Stewart told him the next time they met.

"Next week we're in Milwaukee, I'm walking into the pits. He came up to me on Friday morning before the first practice and said, 'Hey man, we're gonna be racing each other a long time so let's be friends. Let's not run into each anymore and let's not drag this out... I got no problem with you. I'm cool. Let's just be cool,'" said Dale Earnhardt Jr.

It was no surprise that they had heated moments on the track as competitors, but always had respect for each other and have been friends for more than 25 years.
