NASCAR driver Kyle Busch's son Brexton won the shootout race at Tulsa as he secured the winner's trophy. Busch’s son dominated his first race of the year which was the Junior Sprints final winning his first-ever Golden Driller trophy. Brexton’s mom Samantha was over the moon after her son won as she penned a heartwarming note.
The $80 million-worth Busch's wife uploaded a reel on her Instagram on January 5, 2025, as she celebrated her son's victory at the SageNet Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In the reel, both Samantha and Kyle Busch are questioned about their son's performance as the couple shared how proud they are of Brexton's accomplishment. Samantha Busch's caption for the reel read:
“It's one thing to accomplish something yourself but the amount of joy, excitement, and pride that you feel when it's your child is another level. We are beyond proud of you Brexton you have worked so hard and we will always be your biggest supporters #family #proud #proudparents”
In the video, the reporter asks Kyle Busch's wife about her feelings to which she replied:
“Oh my god! I was crying.. I'm so proud of him. He's worked at this all year. He was so upset last year. Literally every race he went to this year, he's like, ‘I'm doing it for Tulsa, I'm doing it for the driller and he did it.”
Brexton Busch drove the #18 car sponsored by Servpro and uploaded pictures from his triumph on his Instagram. He shared pictures of the whole family celebrating the win along with a picture of himself on the top step of the podium with the trophy. The caption read:
“Dreams do come true”
Even Kyle Busch shared some glory at the Tulsa shootout as both the father and son participated in the event. Busch finished fifth in the Winged A-Class and won the FuelTech Race 58 of the Non-Wing Outlaw class. Brexton qualified for the Junior Sprints A-Mains and dominated the final race as he stole the spotlight.
Kyle Busch suggested that NASCAR is the “End Goal” for his son Brexton
Kyle Busch's son is 9 years old and has been racing prominently in the dirt. It was only in December 2024 that Brexton got the opportunity to drive a professional kart as he shared a post on Instagram about the same.
Busch came out after the race to suggest that NASCAR is the end goal for Brexton, hence more pavement-based racing in the future is the plan ahead for the Tulsa Shootout winner. He said:
“I just feel like if you mix in a little bit of the dirt and a little bit of the pavement right now, you can do anything. And for him, like when he turns 16, which path do you want to go?”
“You know, do you want to stay in the dirt world and go run sprint cars or something like that, or modifieds, or late models, or whatever? Or do you want to go to NASCAR and, right now NASCAR is the end goal, so I feel like you got to have some pavement stuff right now.”
Brexton Busch also races in the junior stock car racing categories with Servpro as his sponsor. The 9-year-old signed a multi-year extension with Servpro in February 2024.
