Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Kevin Harvick, co-owners of the zMAX CARS Tour, have announced a big change to their racing series. The duo reflected on the challenges faced during the 2024 CARS Tour and aims to fix them, maintaining a smooth flow for the series.

The former NASCAR Cup Series drivers came together with Jeff Burton and Justin Marks and bought the CARS Tour in January 2023. The asphalt late-model series featured Pro Late Models and Late Model Stock Cars. NASCAR prodigies including Connor Zilisch and Carson Kvapil are also part of the series.

Earnhardt Jr. shared a post on his X account and announced the major changes for the CARS tour in the 2025 season. He and Harvick understand drivers' challenges as professional race car drivers. They have decided to "dial it back a few events next year," recalling the rain delays that affected the series the entire year.

"Teams will enjoy an entire month off in the summer as well," Dale Earnhardt Jr. added.

Continuing, Dale Earnhardt Jr. said they are trying to find a unique track to solve the challenge of the rainy environment in the April race.

"Trying to find a unique addition such as @CordeleSpeedway for the April date. The Tour is hard at work this time of year," Dale Earnhardt Jr. said.

The CARS Tour series also plans to shorten the push Friday practices and shift them to the evening hours during the warmer months. Earlier the Tour had 17 races, and now the organization has reduced it to 15 for the 2025 season.

Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s venture with Kevin Harvick shone during the Olympic break - “What a great treat for us”

Former Cup Series driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. was impressed by the CARS Tour during the Olympic break and expressed his delight on his podcast, "Dale Jr. Download". He opened up about the attention the grassroots racing gained from media houses during the break, aiming to achieve the same exposure as NASCAR.

Earnhardt Jr. is a fan of late-model cars and short-track racing. He has a strong connection to short tracks having started racing in late-model cars on such tracks. The CARS Tour also features several similar tracks, including North Wilkesboro Speedway.

NASCAR took the Paris Olympics break after concluding the 2024 Brickyard 400 in July and returned to the Richmond Raceway race on August 10, 2024.

"We had a fantastic pro race. Our Pro Lates, that race and that race finish, got retweeted by Rubbin Is Racing. I mean, what a great treat for us, NASCAR taking a break for the Olympics," Dale Earnhardt Jr. said.
"It's our opportunity to be talked about, to be celebrated, and to be showcased by a lot of these publications and social media handles that traditionally are covering NASCAR. Well, it's got no NASCAR to cover, so if we can do great things, we can land in those areas, which we did over the past weekend at Hickory."

During the break, the CARS Tour had a successful event at Hickory Motor Speedway and North Wilkesboro Speedway. Ronnie Bassett Jr. won at Hickory Motor Speedway and Treyten Lapcevich at North Wilkesboro Speedway.
