Kyle Larson, the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion, talked about his upcoming offseason vacation in Australia, which includes family time and racing. The Hendrick Motorsports driver missed the NASCAR Championship 4 this year but won the most races (6) and ended the season in sixth place in the final standings.

During EPARTRADE's 5th Annual Race Industry Week live, Larson shared his plans and said:

"We're going on a couple of vacations, with some racing mixed in. We're just never home – we're not really home much. So, yeah, we've already been on one vacation. We've got another vacation coming up in like a week and a half." (20:17)

Larson, who is teaming up with Jason Pryde Motorsport, is excited to visit Western Australia for the first time. He owns the High Limit Racing Series with his wife's brother, Brad Sweet, and will host "High Limit International: Perth" from December 28-30 at Perth Motorplex.

"I'm excited to go to Australia. I'll go there – we leave Christmas night for Australia. I'll be there for just five or six days to race the Sprint car at Perth. It's promoted by High Limit as well, and they're going to pay $100,000 to win, which is by far the largest-paying race in Australian Sprint Car racing history. I'm so excited about that. I think the crowd will be huge, and I think the competition will be great," he added (20:20).

"We wanted more teams, more drivers, and more tracks to make money and also give the fans even more racing" - Kyle Larson on growing High Limit Racing Series

Kyle Larson's High Limit Racing Series has 61 events planned across 36 locations next year. Larson talked about its origins and how the sprint car series has grown since 2022. He said during the aforementioned interview:

"A couple of years ago, we just did some midweek racing. I think we got 11 races in, and I think that really opened our eyes to how we could grow the sport a lot. Tony Stewart had reached out to us about wanting to move on from the ownership or series ownership side, so we saw a good opportunity to try to elevate the national scene even more than it already was." "We really wanted to allow more teams, more drivers, and more tracks to make money and also give the fans even more racing. From there, we went from 11 races to, I think, 61 races nationally – quite a big jump," he added.

Larson also believes the series, which has expanded to 16 full-time teams, connected well with the sport and provided exciting racing every week, which was their goal.
