Amy Earnhardt recently shared her excitement after High Rock Vodka won "Best Craft Vodka" for the second year in a row.
Former NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his wife Amy created High Rock Vodka in partnership with Sugarlands Distilling Company in 2022. The couple first visited the Sugarlands during a family trip to Tennessee.
Amy Earnhardt posted about winning USA Today's Readers' Choice award this year, writing:
"Best Craft Vodka 2nd year in a row!! We are so proud. Thanks to all who voted!"
According to their website, High Rock Vodka is made from corn and water from the Great Smoky Mountains. It is distilled seven times and triple-filtered through sugar maple charcoal.
Amy Earnhardt first met Dale when the NASCAR driver hired her design firm to renovate his home in North Carolina. The couple kept their romance private for over two years before going public in December 2011. They married on New Year's Eve in 2016 and have two daughters, Isla and Nicole.
"Telling him we were pregnant with the second kid" - Amy Earnhardt recalls a funny incident
Earlier this month, in an episode of "Ask Jr." on Dirty Mo Media's YouTube channel, Amy Earnhardt answered a question about the best practical joke she pulled on Dale.
Amy recalled the story of when she told Dale they were having their second child and explained why she does not like to play pranks on him.
"Oh, I don't know. Telling him we were pregnant with the second kid. Kind of felt like he thought it was a joke... he was flabbergasted... I don't otherwise try to play pranks on him.' I have heard too many stories about him and his buddies doing practical jokes—like really gnarly stuff. So I don’t get it—I don’t want to be on the receiving end of that," Amy said. (09:27)
Later, Earnhardt Jr. remembered a surprise on the podcast when Amy told him they were going to Key West.
"Not so much a practical joke, but when she surprised me on the podcast with, 'We're leaving right after you get up from the table to go to Key West.' Yeah, that will never be able to be replicated. That was a good one," Earnhardt Jr. said. (10:35)
In addition to their business, Dale and Amy have also appeared on the reality show Renovation Realities: Dale Jr. & Amy in 2018. The show followed their efforts to turn a rundown home into a beachside retreat.
