Former NASCAR Cup Series driver Kyle Petty and his charitable organization, Kyle Petty Charity Ride, reminisced about the former's late son Adam Petty's giving nature amid the holiday season. The organization raises awareness and funds for Victory Junction.

Victory Junction is a year-round facility for children suffering from chronic medical conditions and serious illnesses. The charitable organization was launched in memory of Adam Petty, who passed away in a crash during a practice session for the Busch 200 in 2000. The organization supports children facing medical challenges and offers a transformative experience in a safe environment.

The Kyle Petty Charity Ride organization recently shared a post recalling Adam Petty's spirit of giving. The organization marked it as a proud moment and captioned the post:

"The holidays are a time for giving, which always makes us think of Adam and his giving heart. ❤ Today and every day, we are proud to continue his legacy!"

Kyle Petty is the son of the NASCAR legend and seven-time Cup Series champion Richard Petty. The 64-year-old has scored eight wins and 173 top-ten finishes throughout his career and was also named NASCAR Illustrated's Person of the Year twice, in 1999 and 2000.

Kyle Petty's father Richard Petty donates 403 acres of land in Charlotte for Victory Junction

Last week, NASCAR legend Richard Petty announced a monumental donation to his late grandson's vision-based charitable organization, Victory Junction. The 87-year-old former professional stock car racing driver donated 403 acres of land to the organization to help brighten the future of children suffering from chronic disease and give them a 'life-changing' opportunity.

Petty and his late wife Lynda had also donated 84 acres of land 20 years ago to start the camp. This generous act aimed to help the charity expand its mission and save more lives.

In an official press release by Victory Junction, Kyle Petty expressed his feelings on bringing his son's vision to life and leading it to a successful path.

“When I see the joy and the smiles this camp brings to kids and their families, I can still feel Adam’s giving spirit and see his smile. I want to make sure Camp is here in 100 years, and we hope this gift inspires others to support Victory Junction so that it remains a place of joy for generations to come,” stated Kyle Petty.
"My family and I are dedicated to leaving a legacy. By donating an additional 403 acres, we hope to ensure the camp can continue serving even more children for generations to come," Richard Petty added.

The CEO of Victory Junction highlighted that there are no immediate plans to use the land and that they would strategically decide ways to secure the future of the camp and provide more life-changing experiences for children. The charitable organization has planned nine sessions for the summer of next year, including six weekend schedules for spring 2025.
