Kyle Busch failed to secure victory at the Hollywood Casino 400 race at the Kansas Speedway on Sunday, September 29, 2024 and is on a winless streak this season. On the other hand, Ross Chastain stepped into the victory lane for the first time in the NASCAR 2024 season.
Chastain qualified for the race in 20th place with a best time of 30.607 and a top speed of 176.43 mph. He was 0.496 seconds before the leader, Christopher Bell, and 0.492 seconds before Busch, yet Chastain managed to secure a win. On the other hand, a fraction of fans want Busch and Truex both to succeed in playoffs and wrote, "truex and kyle make it happen."

Kyle Busch is left heartbroken after the Kansas race
Kyle Busch is not having the season of his career and has lost all the races. The Hollywood Casino 400 race at the Kansas Speedway on Sunday, September 29, 2024, also slipped away from Busch's hand and finished in 19th place. Earlier, at Bristol, he finished in 25th place, and in Watkins Glen, he was in 30th place.
During a post-race interview with NASCAR, Busch shared his experience at Kansas Speedway.
"Granted they have a race to run, but back in the old days when you were under 30 to go or whatever it was, lap traffic would kind of lay over and give you a lane and let the leaders race. I just wasn’t getting that, so I tried to force my hand into getting that and get to his outside, and for whatever reason, it just gave all the air in all the wrong places, and I spun out."
The #8 spun in the 237th lap, and it caused a lot of damage to his car, and ended up in 19th place. Chastain took advantage of the scenario and won the race. Both the drivers are out of the playoffs, with the #8 driver currently in 20th place in the NASCAR standings and Ross Chastain in 17th place.
