Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Kevin Harvick, co-owners of the zMAX CARS Tour competed in the Cook Out 225 at Florence Motor Speedway on Friday. Junior finished 10th in his second CARS Tour appearance under the Late Model Stock Car category while Harvick finished seventh in the Pro Late Model division.

Ryan Millington won Friday's LMSC race, after snatching the lead from Mini Tyrell on lap 81. Brenden Queen and Matt Cox wound up inside the top-3. On the other hand, Spencer Davis earned his career-first victory in the CARS Tour Pro Late Model category. He currently leads the zMAX CARS Pro Late Model series field on points.

The zMAX CARS Tour is jointly owned by Earnhardt, Harvick, NASCAR veteran Jeff Burton, and Trackhouse Racing owner Justin Marks. In 2024, Harvick pioneered the tour aspect of the Pro Late Model and split it into the East and West Tours.

The CARS Tour West was deemed to follow the same rules as the East. However, the Series is meant for drivers from the West Coast, with races held in California and Nevada. CARS Tour West races are currently broadcast on TrackVision TV, under a partnership between Low Budget TV and Speed Sport.

The full replays of the LMSC practices, the LMSC Cook Out 225, the LMSC/PLM open practices, and the PLM Cook Out 225 Practices and Qualifyings are now available for the fans to watch on FloRacing. FloRacing holds the media rights for the CARS Tour events in 2024.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. approves of veteran NASCAR journalist's fieldwork

Veteran NASCAR journalist Bob Pockrass of FOX was seen taking a stroll at Florence Motor Speedway on Friday morning, clicking pictures and updating the community on the happenings at the 4/10 mile, asphalt oval located in Timmonsville, South Carolina.

Pockrass posted a picture of Kevin Harvick pushing the No. 62 Realtree/Hunt Brothers Pizza car, which the latter drove for Rackley W.A.R. in the PLM division, and captioned it:

"At Florence Motor Speedway tonight …"

Dale Earnhardt Jr. reposted the photo and wrote,

"Bob enjoying some grassroots @CARSTour action, I like it. 👍🏼👍🏼"

Earnhardt retired from full-time racing in 2017. Since then, the 49-year-old has been competing part-time in the Xfinity Series as the wheelman of the No. 88 JR Motorsports Chevy. However, Kevin Harvick retired from professional racing just last year and since then, he has resorted to the FOX broadcast booth as a NASCAR analyst and race commentator.

Meanwhile, NASCAR is all set for Sunday's Cup Series race at Darlington Raceway. Named the Cook Out Southern 500, the 367-lap event will start from 6 PM ET onwards and will stream live on NBC and USA. Fans can also listen to radio updates on MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
