Following last week’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Pocono Raceway, Kyle Larson took part in the Kubota High Limit Racing’s Double Down Duels at Eldora Speedway on Wednesday, July 17. It’s the opening night of a two-day Hight Limit Racing show at Eldora.
Driving the #57 sprint car for Silva Motorsports, the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion Larson finished P2 in the second feature race of Double Down Duels at the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio.
It was a good day for Larson, but he was 1.408 seconds behind race winner Giovanni Scelzi to win a prize money of $12,000.
Wednesday’s sprint car event was split into two groups, with each group contested 25 laps of dirt sprint car racing that paid $12,000 to win in each.
The second 25-lap feature race was won by Scelzi. While the opening race began with a bang when Logan Schuchart, Justin Peck and Kyle Larson’s brother-in-law Brad Sweet began battling for the lead.
However, Schuchart who emerged victorious and crossed the finish line by an impressive margin of 0.242 seconds ahead of Donny Schatz.
Kyle Larson will return at Eldora Speedway on Thursday night to win $100,000 and Joker's Jackpot.
