Dale Earnhardt Jr. recently shared his thoughts on Corey LaJoie not having a NASCAR ride for 2025. LaJoie was announced to be let go by Spire Motorsports after the end of the current season which threw the #7 driver's future in the sport into uncertainty.

This was something that Earnhardt Jr. discussed on The Dale Jr. Download. The former Hendrick Motorsports driver expressed concern over LaJoie's future and shared a piece of advice.

"Corey LaJoie is out at Spire. Corey went on his podcast and talked about this. I wonder where he ends up. Where in the world will he end up? His options have to be pretty limited. I think he has some financial support," Earnhardt said.

He claimed that if he were LaJoie, he would put himself in positions to win races. Junior further spoke about what could be in store for LaJoie in the future as he'd try to find a new team next season.

"If I were him, I would try to put myself in positions where I felt like I could win races. You may have to absolutely make less money. Your base salary might be less. That might be tough and I’m not sure what his situation is financially but being happy and enjoying what you’re doing, celebrating some wins is worth it," Dale Earnhardt Jr. said.

He added that Corey LaJoie should consider doing what John Hunter Nemechek did and go back to the lower tiers of NASCAR to rebuild his reputation and earn everyone's confidence in his ability.

Corey LaJoie remains motivated to get Spire's first win despite the recent announcement

Speaking after the official announcement by Spire Motorsports regarding his future with the team, Corey LaJoie opened up on his thoughts. The 32-year-old driver claimed on his podcast that his NASCAR career hasn't gone how he thought it would go, because of which he wouldn't expect anything different going forward.

"There's that proverb, 16:9, it's been pinned to my Twitter or my X profile for almost 10 years now - The Lord determines well, the man can plan his path but the Lord determines his steps and that really is. I don't know what the next step is," LaJoie said.

Having said that, he expressed his disappointment in not being able to take the #7 team to its full potential. LaJoie admitted that in the current season, he has made "too many mistakes" that took him out of contention for getting good results.

But despite all of that, Corey LaJoie remains motivated to get Spire Motorsports' first win at the Cup level, which would have to come in the remaining races of the season.

This season, apart from his fourth-place finish in the Daytona 500, LaJoie has failed to finish inside the top 10 even once and has finished seven times inside the top 20.
