The 2024 NASCAR Cup Series Season heads to Nashville Superspeedway for the Ally 400, and excitement is high, as the winner of the race receives a guitar trophy to celebrate the culture of music city. The Nashville is 1.33-mile-long tri-oval speedway.
The Nashville Superspeedway owned by Speedway Motorsports features 14 degrees of banking in the track's turns, nine degrees of banking in the track's frontstretch and six degrees of banking in the track's backstretch.
It hosted its first NASCAR race in 2001, where Greg Biffle emerged victorious driving the #60 Ford for Roush Racing.
The NASCAR Cup Series has a short history with Nashville, as it has only hosted three Cup Series races since 2021 — one event per year. With one victory each, Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott and Ross Chastain are the most successful drivers at Nashville in NASCAR Cup Series history. Larson, Elliott and Chastain won in 2021, 2022, and 2023, respectively.
This superspeedway hasn’t seen drivers with multiple wins due to the limited number of races ran at this venue. However, Nashville has a long history with NASCAR’s second and third-tier series.
Among active Cup drivers who have secured most wins at the 1.33-mile track in a NASCAR’s all-three national series events, veteran Kyle Busch tops the list with four victories (two wins each in Xfinity and Truck Series).
Brad Keselowski is the next closest driver with two wins, and both came in the Xfinity Series, in 2008 and 2010.
Hendrick Motorsports’ two Cup wins at Nashville are the most among all teams. They came in 2021 and 2022.
