Who won the NASCAR race today?
Driving the #22 Ford for Team Penske, Joey Logano secured his third win of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season after executing a perfect fuel-mileage strategy at a 1.5-mile Vegas track. With the win, he secured the first of four Cup Series Championship 4 berths.
Two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Logano emerged victorious when he grabbed the lead from Daniel Suarez with six laps to go and then held off the afternoon’s most dominant driver, Christopher Bell, on the final lap to cross the finish line in P1.
Joey Logano led only the final six laps and crossed the finish line by a margin of 0.662 seconds ahead of Bell to take the checkered flag. The win marked the 35th of his Cup Series career.
Christopher Bell, who led a race-best 155 of the 267 laps and won Stage 2, scored the back-to-back runner-up finish. Daniel Suárez, William Byron, and Alex Bowman finished inside the top five.
