The 2024 USA Today 301 concluded on Sunday, June 23 after a two-hour, 15-minute weather delay. The 18th race of the season started at 2 pm ET and lasted for three hours, 48 minutes, and 14 seconds at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway, with 36 entries.
The 2024 USA Today 301 saw six lead changes among four drivers and 14 caution flags.
Who won the NASCAR race today?
Christopher Bell, driving the #20 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing, secured his third win of the 2024 season after the final 88 laps were run on NASCAR's wet weather tires at a 1.058-mile-long track.
In a rain-interrupted race, Bell led a race-high 148 of the 305 laps and got a big jump on the field on an overtime restart before crossing the finish line 1.104 seconds ahead of Chase Briscoe to take the checkered flag.
Bell grabbed the lead for the final time from Tyler Reddick on lap 248 and held on top spot through the series of late-race restarts that sent the race to overtime. The win marked Bell’s ninth of his NASCAR Cup career and swept the weekend after Saturday’s win in the Xfinity Series.
Meanwhile, Chase Briscoe finished runner-up, followed by Josh Berry, Kyle Larson, and Chris Buescher in the top five. Tyler Reddick, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., John Hunter Nemechek, Martin Truex Jr., and Ross Chastain completed the top 10 in the USA Today 301.
