The 2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series UNOH 200 is finally done and dusted. The 18th race, the second of the playoff season, started at 8 pm ET on Thursday (September 19) and lasted for one hour, 20 minutes, and 24 seconds. It took place at the Bristol Motor Speedway and had 36 entries.
The UNOH 200 saw eight lead changes among four drivers and witnessed four caution flags.
Who won the NASCAR Truck Series race today?
Driving the #38 Ford for Front Row Motorsports, Layne Riggs earned his second consecutive win of the 2024 NASCAR Truck Series season in Thursday night’s playoff race at Bristol despite missing out on the playoffs.
Riggs emerged victorious when he grabbed the lead from Corey Heim on 121 of 200 laps and stayed out front without any challenge to cross the finish line in P1.
Riggs dominated the final stage, leading a race-high 80 laps and crossing the finish line by an impressive margin of 1.096 seconds ahead of Heim to grab the checkered flag in Wisconsin.
Meanwhile, Corey Heim led 65 laps and claimed a P2 finish. Rajah Caruth, Christian Eckes, and Nick Sanchez are in the top-five. Matt Crafton, Chase Purdy, Ty Majeski, Stewart Friesen, and Tyler Ankrum completed the top 10.
Connor Zilisch, the rising NASCAR star, finished 19th after being involved in a wreck with Nick Sanchez at the end of Stage 2. He led 41 laps from pole.
