Driving the #00 Ford for Stewart-Haas Racing, Cole Custer secured his second win of the season after dominating the final stage of the race at the 0.5-mile shortest track. With the win, Custer claimed the regular-season NASCAR Xfinity Series championship after Justin Allgaier finished 30th.
Custer, who started from the front row, emerged victorious when he grabbed the lead from Sheldon Creed on Lap 209 of 300 and stayed out front to cross the finish line in P1. He crossed the finish line with an impressive margin of 0.896 seconds ahead of Sheldon Creed to grab the checkered flag.
The win marked Custer’s first at Bristol and the 15th of his Xfinity Series career.
Meanwhile, Sheldon Creed finished runner-up for a record 13th time without a Xfinity win. He was followed by polesitter Chandler Smith, Jesse Love, and Ryan Truex in the top five. Brandon Jones, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Ryan Sieg, Sam Mayer, and AJ Allmendinger completed the top 10.
NASCAR Hall of Famer and JR Motorsports owner Dale Jr., finished seventh in his first Xfinity start of the season.
