Who won the NASCAR Xfinity Series race today?

Driving the #97 Chevrolet for Kaulig Racing, Shane van Gisbergen secured his second consecutive NASCAR Xfinity Series win of the season at the 1.99-mile road course.

Van Gisbergen's all three NASCAR victories came on road courses. He won the inaugural Chicago Street Race on his Cup debut in 2023 and claimed the first Xfinity checkered flag last week at Portland.

SVG emerged victorious when he grabbed the lead from Austin Hill on a restart with 11 laps to go and then held off the late charge of Sheldon Creed to cross the finish line in P1.

Van Gisbergen led 32 of the 79 laps and finished with an impressive margin of 1.323 seconds ahead of Creed to grab the checkered flag at Sonoma.

Meanwhile, Creed finished as runner-up, followed by Sam Mayer, Austin Green, and Austin Hill in the top five. Justin Allgaier, Chandler Smith, John Hunter Nemechek, Cole Custer, and Parker Kligerman completed the top 10.
