Who won the NASCAR Xfinity Series race today?

Driving the #88 Chevrolet for JR Motorsports, Connor Zilisch survived two wild overtime restarts while managing fuel mileage at Watkins Glen to win his first career NASCAR victory in his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut. He pulled off an incredible performance on his debut against the best NASCAR drivers at a historic 2.45-mile-long road course.

The 18-year-old rising star was also the most dominant driver of the race, as he won Stage 1 from pole and led race high 45 of 90 laps to cross the finish line in P1. He crossed the finish line under caution, holding off runner-up finisher Sheldon Creed.

With the win, he became the seventh driver in Xfinity Series history to win on his debut and the second-youngest winner after Joey Logano in the series.

Meanwhile, Sheldon Creed finished runner-up for a record 12th time, followed by AJ Allmendinger, Chandler Smith, and Shane van Gisbergen in the top five. Ross Chastain, Parker Kligerman, Jesse Love, Joey Logano, and Josh Bilicki completed the top 10.
