Renowned NASCAR journalist Bob Pockrass has touched upon 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports' ongoing legal tussle with NASCAR, and if any changes made to the agreement will apply to all teams. According to Pockrass' official X account, any changes to the NASCAR charter agreement will "most likely" be applicable for all teams.

23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports filed an anti-trust lawsuit against NASCAR in September this year, citing unfair practices after the two teams did not sign the latest charter agreement laid out by the governing body. Since they did not sign the charter agreement, their entry into the sport in 2025 became doubtful

Judge Kenneth Bell's latest verdict directed NASCAR to give an injunction to the teams so that they can take part next season. However, NASCAR has challenged the verdict

"If there would be any changes to the charter agreement as a result of the lawsuit, that most likely would be for all teams. Changes to the charter agreement aren't necessarily the only avenue that could be the result of the lawsuit/remedy for any antitrust violations," Pockrass wrote.

23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports can field three cars each in the 2025 season, but they will have to wait for the court's verdict.

NASCAR appeals against latest 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports verdict

NASCAR has struck back with immediate effect after Judge Kenneth Bell ruled in favor of Front Row Motorsports and 23XI Racing. The governing body challenged the judge's verdict with an emergency legal attack.

Reporting this, Kelly Crandall of Racer wrote on X,

"NASCAR will appeal the preliminary injunction ruling for 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports. It will also be filing for a partial stay of injunction pending the appeal."

23XI Racing currently has three charters, after it obtained one from the now-defunct Stewart-Haas Racing. Front Row Motorsports also obtained one charter from SHR, making it a three-car operation as well.

NASCAR's stance on 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports and vice versa has now reached a whole new level, as neither side is willing to back off. It will be interesting to see how the two parties settle their differences in the times to come.
