NASCAR insider Joseph Srigley reshared Danny Bohn's call for a sponsor as the latter claimed teams were approaching him to run the pre-season Cup Series Clash next month at the Bowman Gray Stadium. However, Bohn also mentioned that he couldn't participate without funding.

As the 2025 Cup Series season nears, Danny Bohn, who has previously raced in the Truck Series and once in the Xfinity Series, came out on social media, seeking a sponsor. In the post, the 36-year-old mentioned that he was approached to drive at the Cook Out Clash at the Bowman Gray Stadium, and then requested his followers to reach him out with ideas.

"This is not anything I typically do, but I’ve been offered the opportunity to run the cup race at Bowman Gray Stadium Racing next month. I’ve been approved by the higher ups to compete," Bohn wrote on Facebook. "If anyone knows any companies looking to do some marketing we have plenty of space available. Without funding I won’t be participating. We all know I will drive the wheels off it to make the show. DM me if anyone has any ideas. Thank you everyone for the support!"

NASCAR journalist Joseph Srigely amplified this post, as he further shared it on X with his followers.

This could be a great opportunity for Bohn, as The Clash is a pre-season event and no points are awarded, however, his performance in the race could set an example for teams to note and perhaps sign him in the future.

He has previously competed in the Truck Series with On Point Motorsports between 2019 and 2021, and then another three races with Young's Motorsports and Niece Motorsports. In the 36 races he participated in, Bohn finished five times in the top 10, however, did not win any of the races.

NASCAR returns to Bowman Gray for the first time since 1971

The Cup Series is set to return to Bowman Gray Stadium for the pre-season Clash. This was previously held in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

This return to Bowman Gray is subject to reviving the historical value of the sport. The track hosted races for the Cup Series between 1958 and 1971. The quarter-mile track is sometimes also referred to as the "Madhouse" because of the general nature of racing observed there.

NASCAR authorities recently revealed that the track was sold out for the 2025 edition of the race. Justin Swilling, Project Lead for the NASCAR Clash, mentioned that this showed a positive effect of bringing the track back.

"The sellout of The Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium speaks volumes about the monumental nature of the event at this historic venue," he said in a statement. "We’re honored to bring such an incredible race weekend to Winston-Salem that will provide an opportunity to place the stars of Bowman Gray Stadium’s Modified Division in the national spotlight."

Notably, the 2024 edition of the Clash wasn't sold out (although there were other reasons such as the weather and rescheduling to blame for it). It is scheduled for 1 - 2 Feb. 2025 on FOX.
