Danica Patrick endorsed President-elect Donald Trump as he spoke against renaming the US Military bases and naval ships. He also mentioned that "woke is bullshit," while talking about a few ships that are set to be renamed.

Recently, Fort Bragg was renamed to Fort Liberty. Its previous name was after the Confederate soldier General Braxton Bragg from Warrenton, North Carolina. The US has been working to rename its military bases to move away from Confederate soldiers' references. While speaking at Turning Point's annual AmericaFest, Donald Trump mentioned that he would restore such names because of their historical significance, he then went on to criticize "woke" individuals.

"As commander in chief, I will restore the proud and historic names of our great military bases like Fort Bragg. We’re going to get them back. And woke has to stop because along with everything else, it’s destroying our country. We’re going to stop woke. Woke – woke is bullshit."

Reacting to this clip on social media, former NASCAR racer Danica Patrick cheered and repeated Trump's words, labeling it the "best line" of the weekend.

"Best line of the weekend!!!!!!" Patrick wrote. "Woke is bullshit, buh-bye. 👋🏼"

Danica Patrick actively supported Donald Trump and the Republican Party during the 2024 Presidential Elections. The Queens native won the election by a wide margin over the Democratic Party's Kamala Harris.

Being a former racer and currently a presenter for Formula 1, it was quite a different road when Patrick began supporting Trump through her social media accounts. She also recalled how her year progressed as she attended her first political rally as a listener but was soon the speaker in the upcoming ones.

"In exactly one year I went from being a spectator at my first ever political event….. to a speaker at it. Living and speaking your truth - leads to your purpose - which gives you all the energy you need to make an impact - and your impact….. becomes your legacy," Danica Patrick wrote.

Patrick was asked about her support to Donald Trump. The 42-year-old mentioned that it seemed to be the "rational" choice for her. She assessed that the reason a lot of women were not comfortable voting for him was because of his personality.

"It’s like the rational, reasonable choice," she told Fox Sports. "There is a difference definitely between the way that men and women are voting, and I think maybe one of the reasons why women are having a harder time with the vote is just his [Trump’s] personality."

Donald Trump is scheduled to take office in January of 2025. This will be his second and final term as the President of the United States, after having served between 2017 and 2021.
