Hendrick Motorsports became the team with the most victories in the Cup Series, and former Cup Series driver Mark Martin showcased his gratitude for being a part of this iconic journey. The HMS now has 312 Cup Series wins since its debut in 1984.

The former #5 Chevy Camaro driver Martin worked with HMS from 2009 to 2011 and bagged five big wins for the team. He recently received a ring from Hendrick Motorsports and shared the images on his X account, along with a heartfelt message.

"Huge thank you to @TeamHendrick for letting me be a part of this amazing organization. I m honored to have driven the 5 and contributed five of the 300," wrote Martin.

The former HMS driver secured his first victory for the team at the 2009 Subway Fest Fit 500 held at the Phoenix International Raceway. After that, he won at Darlington Raceway, another at Michigan International Speedway, then at the Chicagoland Speedway, and the last win at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The fans praised the latter in the comments for his achievement.

A fan was awe-struck after learning about the record and commented:

"Wow dude that’s sick"

One fan congratulated Martin for his accomplishment and wrote:

"Congrats, @markmartin you are the man!! "

Another recalled Martin's comeback to HMS and wrote:

"I loved it when you came back and drove the 5 part time/ full time. You looked and acted like a man that was really enjoying that stage of your career."

One fan applauded HMS for their sweet gesture and commented:

"That’s awesome of @TeamHendrick to send those! I assume all drivers that got a win got one? Pretty great organization."

One more motorsports fan appreciated HMS's move for including their former drives in the celebration. He wrote:

"That is a very classy show of appreciation for them to share with you. Not trying to inflate you ego (even though you deserve it) but you made a significant contribution to every team you drove for. It was a pleasure watching you wheel a race car."

Mark Martin revealed 'the best teammate' he had during his NASCAR career

Mark Martin raced for 31 years. He had many teammates over three decades, but he mentioned that Jeff Burton was the best he ever had. In Martin's podcast, he was asked about his experience of having a teammate and how they help in the sport.

The 65-year-old NASCAR veteran mentioned that Burton always lent a helping hand and was a quality teammate. The duo came together while racing for Roush Racing from 1966 to 2004.

"We would all share information at varying degrees. In other words, your best buddy, you would share everything, and that would be Jeff Burton. Why? Because Jeff shared everything with me," stated Martin.

He added:

"When Burton and I got together, it was magic. The guy was just the best teammate you could ever have. He would run up and volunteer anything to try to help. That's how he tried to build respect. He believed if he gave, he might get, so he was always trying to give. He had my best interest in my program all the time. Jeff watched out for me and my program, which really helped."

Burton left Rousch Racing in 2004 and went to Richard Childress Racing. He then drove the #31 car in the mid-season of 2004 and retired after the 2004 Cup Series with 21 wins.
