Former NASCAR driver, Jeff Gordon was upset with Brad Keselowski after a clash at Texas Motor Speedway nine years ago. He let out his frustration after the race in a fight that became one of the most famous brawls in NASCAR.
Keselowski hit Jeff Gordon's car which caused the No. 24 car to spin out and finish 29th at the 2014 AAA Texas 500 race in 2014. After the race, Gordon went to confront Keselowski, who came in third, which led to a brawl that included several people.
Jeff Gordon criticized Keselowski for his reckless driving style and the confrontation that followed, in a post-race interview.
“I got a pretty decent start. You know, we went down into one, and I just wanted to get to the outside of the 48. Then, out of nowhere, I just got slammed by the two, which cut my left rear tire. He’s just a dip. The way he races, I don't know how he's ever won a championship, and I'm just sick and tired of it. That's why everybody's fighting him and running him down,” Gordan said (00:15).
Gordan stated that Keselowski's aggressive driving was not acceptable and made it hard for him to win championships.
"The conflict with Brad on pit road came out when I pulled in to talk to him...you can't have a conversation with him. He beats to his own drum and gets himself in this position, so he has to face the consequences. I'm going to race him the same way he races me, but that kind of stuff is just uncalled for, and I'm not going to stand for it," he added (01:00).
Both drivers also had minor injuries after the scuffle.
"I wanted to win the race" : Brad Keselowski responded to Jeff Gordan's criticism
Brad Keselowski defended himself after the fight, saying he was racing hard and saw an opening to win. In the same interview, he responded to wrecking Jeff Gordan.
"I was just racing him (Jeff Gordan) hard, and he left a hole. You know, everything you watch in racing—if you leave a hole, you're supposed to drive for it. It closed back up, and we made contact. I don’t want to ruin anyone's day; I wanted to win the race, and that was our opportunity. It just didn’t come together," he said. (02:01)
Keselowski added that he believes his intense driving style was justified.

The fight began when Kevin Harvick pushed Keselowski. Earlier this year, on his podcast, "Kevin Harvick's Happy Hour," Harvick said that he regretted doing that.
Harvick went on to win the last two races and the championship that year.
