Hendrick Motorsports VC Jeff Gordon uploaded a reel on Instagram in collaboration with the official accounts of HMS and Chevy Motorsports. The reel featured the former stock car and the 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV.

Gordon shared his first impression of the latest Chevrolet launch and made his feelings known about the battery power. The caption for the reel read,

“The possibilities are endless with the technology that @chevrolet and@teamchevy have brought to the #SilveradoEV.”

The reel began with a few cinematic shots of the interior and exterior of the 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV. Gordon had a sneak peek at the rear seats of the pickup and said, “Is someone sleeping in here?”. Next was a clip of Gordon being shocked at the folding rear seats as he exclaimed, ‘Oh my god! The whole thing?”

The HMS vice chairman then asked about the average range of the Silverado EV on a full charge and was impressed to know that it was 440 miles. As he got into the car and sat in the driver's seat, Gordon said,

“Man, that seat is comfy. You guys put some new padding in this thing”.

While playing around with the infotainment system, he said, “Oops, I don't know what I just did”. The Chevrolet executive replied, “You just opened up the full horsepower.” Jeff Gordon then said,

“I think that's where the full potential is with technology. Using the battery power it has, you have endless opportunities.”

Chevrolet launched the 2025 Silverado EV earlier this year in October. The electric pickup truck comes in three variants. The base WT variant starts at $57,000. The middle LT variant costs $75,000 and the top of the range RST variant costs $98,000. The price also varies depending on whether the extended range option is chosen.

The top-of-the-range model produces 754 horsepower via the two electric motors, one on each axle. All models are equipped with all-wheel drive while the rear-wheel steering and air suspension packages are optional.

Jeff Gordon owns a Chevrolet dealership in North Carolina

Former NASCAR driver and now HMS VC Gordon does indeed own a car dealership. The dealership is called Jeff Gordon Chevrolet in Wilmington, North Carolina. The dealership was opened in 1998 when Gordon was still competing in the NASCAR Cup Series with Hendrick Motorsports.

Gordon drove the Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet all his career in the Cup Series for over 3 decades. Gordon developed a long-term partnership with Chevrolet that has continued with him as HMS VC.

Jeff Gordon Chevrolet won the GM Dealer Of The Year Award in 2014. Many other HMS drivers also have a General Motors dealership. Some examples are Darrell Waltrip Buick GMC in Franklin, Tennessee, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Chevrolet Dealership in Tallahassee, Florida.
