It is not new for NASCAR drivers to squeeze one another into the wall to maintain position. However, during post-race interviews, some tend to say that they hated doing whatever they did to their fellow drivers. Bubba Wallace's spotter Freddie Kraft gave his take on the same, calling out two drivers for their intra-race antics in recent weeks.

With 32 laps to go until the checkered flag at Kansas Speedway last Sunday, a winless Kyle Busch ran alongside Chase Briscoe, trying to put the Stewart-Haas Racing driver a lap down by riding the high groove through turns 1 and 2. Coming off the corner, Briscoe closed into Busch's No. 8 Chevy which got the latter loose, causing him to take a hit against the wall, and spin out on the backstretch.

During a post-race interview, Briscoe said,

"I didn't feel like I did anything. It definitely wasn't intentional. It was one of those racing things. In this car you get so loose outside of guys. I hate it for them." (1:20)

Austin Hill, driver of the No. 21 Richard Childress Racing Xfinity Camaro, said something similar after Corey Heim brushed the outside wall during a three-way battle at Atlanta Motor Speedway a few weeks ago.

"I hate it that he got in the fence," Hill told NASCAR following the ninth win of his career. "I wasn't trying to run him in the fence; I was just trying to get him aero-tight or get him aero-loose..." (0:50)

However, Kraft felt that Hill did not hate what happened to Heim; neither should Briscoe have said that he hated putting Busch into the wall. Referring to the same in a recent episode of the Door Bumper Clear podcast, Kraft said:

"One thing I need Chase (Briscoe) to do; and I've talked about this across the board with every driver. Stop saying, 'I hate it'. You don't hate it. You got the caution you needed, you stayed on the lead lap."
"I think it was Austin Hill like when he ran (Corey) Heim up in the fence...I hate that happened...no you don't," Kraft continued. "You f**king won the race. Stop saying I hate it. You don't hate it. What happened was what you wanted to happen."

Freddie Kraft is the co-host of Door Bumper Clear, a famous NASCAR podcast powered by Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s Dirty Mo Media, alongside veteran spotter Brett Griffin, T.J. Majors, and industry insider Casey Boat. Door Bumper Clear, commonly known as DBC, is in its seventh year of operation.

Chase Briscoe on Kyle Busch's impressive NASCAR streak

Kyle Busch is one of the winningest drivers in NASCAR today. He has won 63 races in the Cup Series, the most among active drivers. He also holds the record for the most number of wins in the Xfinity Series (102) and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (66). The two-time Xfinity Series champion has won at least one race every season for the last 19 years.

Busch is yet to win his first race of 2024. He started third at Kansas but finished 19th. Reflecting on the same, Briscoe said during his post-race interview with Kelley Crandall of Racer:

"I hate it for him. He has been so close all year long and I am a Kyle Busch fan and wanted to see him win to keep the streak alive. I hate that we are a part of the conversation."

Although Kyle Busch did not qualify for the playoffs this year, Briscoe did with a win at Darlington Raceway in the regular season finale. With Stewart-Haas Racing nearing its Cup Series exit, Briscoe will move to Joe Gibbs Racing next year, replacing Martin Truex Jr. behind the wheel of the No. 19 Toyota.
