NASCAR Hall of Famer driver Dale Jr. recently played a game of tailgate party with his wife Amy Earnhardt and co-hosts and created a draft for the essentials. In classic Earnhardt Jr. fashion, he picked beer as his first choice while his wife went for a speaker. The playful moment caught the attention of Bubba Wallace's spotter, Freddie Kraft, who stumbled upon the video and left a cheerful comment.
A tailgate party is a social event to celebrate concerts or sports events with your friends or family. These parties are a tradition in North America, and millions of people take part. There are a few essentials that everyone must bring with them to the events, including coolers, tents, and portable speakers.
Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s picks were beer, barbeque, a ball, and his wife Amy's deviled eggs. His wife chose a speaker, jello shots, chip dips, and champagne to celebrate the event. Junior's co-host Andrew chose a tent, comfy chairs, giant Jenga to kill time, and a pizza. While Dalton opted for the most essential element of the party—a pickup truck, chicken wings, a TV, and a cornhole.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. posted the clip on his account and asked his fans what things they forgot to add in their draft, and Freddie Kraft noticed in a jiffy that they were missing the most essential item to enjoy their party. He hilariously mentioned that "you guys are going to be miserable" out there without a cooler. Kraft added:
"You guys are gonna be miserable since no one brought a cooler. Better hope it’s cold outside."
Following this playful banter, Dale Jr. once revealed what his career would have been if he had an alternative career path.
“Probably been in the music business”: Dale Jr. on having an alternative career path
The two-time Xfinity Series Champion Dale Earnhardt Jr. recently revealed his alternative career path if he hadn't been a stock car racer. In an episode of The Dale Jr. Download podcast, he highlighted what his life would have been if ventured into the music industry.
The former Cup Series driver mentioned that he always had a special corner for music and always "loved music," and it is in every part of his life. He uses music to cut ties with the outside world and enjoy his peace with his music. He reminisced about his initial days before he started racing and said:
"I used to tell people back in, you know, 20-30 years ago, that if I hadn't made it in racing, where would I legitimately have tried to put my efforts, and that would have probably been in the music business as a scout."
Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s co-host Mike Crub compared his current profession with a music scout. Crub pointed out that Dale Jr. has a keen eye for discovering young talent drivers for his co-owned team, JR Motorsports like a music scout does the same for their organization.
Mike Crub concluded by mentioning that Dale Jr. would have been "successful" in the music industry because Junior had the genes to discover promising drivers for his team like the 18-year-old NASCAR prodigy Connor Zilisch.
