NASCAR is currently reviewing the incident and has yet to decide whether to penalize Austin Dillon for his aggressive race-winning move. In a recent episode of the Actions Detrimental podcast, Denny Hamlin expressed his frustration with NASCAR. Here's what he said:

"If they can officiate in the CARS Tour, where they don't have the technology we have, you don't even need technology to use your brain. That's my problem with it, is that tell me a person with legitimate sense that says 'Yeah that was just a racing incident that the #3 accidentally spun the #22 there.' No, he didn't. He(Dillon) drove in until he spun him(Logano) out as instructed by his team."

The reading was followed by Hamlin raising pertinent questions about the applicability of these rules to the incident in the Cook Out 400.

He inquired (via Dirty Mo Media's Instagram):

"If they(NASCAR) don't rule on it today, they don't rule on it tomorrow, tell me then what is unacceptable? Are you saying that you can do whatever you want on the racetrack and it will be no penalty whatsoever? How can you ever take us seriously?"
