McCall Smith, wife of 2022 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series champion Zane Smith, took to social media to show off her New Year's Eve outfit. She also posted a photo of her champagne of choice for the special occasion.
McCall, sister of former Cup Series driver Gray Gaulding, showed off a bottle of vintage Louis Roederer in a post on her Instagram story. She mentioned that she would be drinking it to celebrate New Year's Eve, penning the caption:
"opening this to celebrate a new year 🥂 2025 is going to be a good one!"
McCall followed it up with a mirror selfie to show off her outfit for the holiday. She added a caption that read:
"if anyone needed outfit inspo for tonight !!!!! hehe my favorite types of holidays are spent in pajamas :)"
McCall and Zane got married in 2024. The day prior to New Year's Eve, McCall took to Instagram to share that becoming Zane's wife was her favorite moment of the year. She also wished her followers a happy new year, writing:
"Favorite moment of 2024. 🤍 Becoming Zane’s wife. A day celebrating us, and our love, with our family and friends. 2024 was definitely a rollercoaster to say the least but, this day will always make it one of my favorite. Here’s to making 2025 just as special as this day! Happy new year everyone!"
On the racing side of things, Smith wheeled the #71 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet in 2024 during his rookie season. The 25-year-old posted two top-fives, including a runner-up finish at Nashville. The California native registered four top-10s and finished 30th in the points standings.
Smith won't be returning to Spire Motorsports next season, however, as Michael McDowell will fill the role in the #71 car. Smith has yet to secure a ride for 2025.
Zane Smith's wife McCall said that the 2024 season didn't end as per plans
Zane Smith's season came to an abrupt end at the Phoenix Raceway. A crash during the final race relegated him to last place. After the race, Smith's wife, McCall, took to Instagram to post photos from their time out in Arizona.
While McCall said it's not how they would've liked to have ended the racing season, they still enjoyed some quality time in Arizona. She wrote:
"Might not have been the ending we wanted for Zane on Sunday but nonetheless, a great trip out to AZ seeing family and kicking off the offseason with friends 🤍🥂 good times!"
Prior to the Cup Series, Smith became a CRAFTSMAN Truck Series champion in 2022. He posted nine career victories in four full-time seasons.
