“I’m excited to continue our partnership with Zeigler Automotive Group after a successful rookie season. They’ve been such a great support group since day one for me and the No. 77 team. I’m looking forward to continuing to build our partnership on and off the track and can’t wait to take the Zeigler Chevrolet to Victory Lane," Hocevar said via Jayski.
Hocevar's Zeigler paint scheme would be a distinct black and yellow, with the latter shade covering the major portion of the #77 Chevrolet Camaro.
A peek into Carson Hocevar's Rookie of the Year Honors' Worth Cup Series season
Carson Hocevar has made his name among the aggressive young drivers with a hard racing approach. A recent example can be traced back to Hocevar spinning Harrison Burton under caution at the Nashville Superspeedway. Due to his aggressive maneuver during the yellow flag, NASCAR slapped the rookie with a $50,000 fine and docked 25 points.
Nonetheless, Hocevar delivered optimally to earn the Rookie of The Year honors. The Michigan native wrapped his rookie Cup Series campaign in 21st place, collecting a solitary top-5 with a P3 finish at Watkins Glen International and scoring six top-10s.
Moreover, Carson Hocevar outperformed his teammates, Zane Smith, who concluded his third Cup Series season in P30, and Justin Haley, who settled his sixth Premier level season in 31st place.
“We are very excited for the 2025 season with Carson and the Spire team. This past year has been nothing short of incredible, with Carson earning the well-deserved Rookie of the Year award," Aaron J. Zeigler, president and CEO of Zeigler Auto Group and Zeigler Racing said.
Hocevar will be joined by Michael McDowell in 2025. Haley will continue his run after a recent swap with Rick Ware Racing. It's worth mentioning that Zeigler Auto Group and Hocevar share common ground—Michigan.
