Richard Petty, also called The King of NASCAR, has been the statistical greatest driver in the history of NASCAR. Following in his grandfather and father’s footsteps, Kyle Petty pursued racing in NASCAR. He made his debut in a stock car in 1979, racing for his father’s team, Petty Enterprises. His first race win came in 1986 when he was racing for Wood Brothers Racing and finished 10th in the championship. Petty won eight races in his career that he concluded in 2008 driving once again for Petty Enterprises. After retirement, Petty continued being part of the NASCAR sphere and became a commentator for major NASCAR broadcasters for the Cup Series as well as Xfinity.
