Ross Lee Chastain is an American stock-car racing driver representing Trackhouse Racing in the No.1 Chevrolet ZL1 in the NASCAR Cup Series. Chastain has been racing in NASCAR for the past seven years and has become one of the most loved drivers on the grid in a short timespan. He finished ninth in the 2023 Cup Series after beating Ryan Blaney to the win in the final race at Phoenix Raceway. However, Chastain was unable to qualify for the NASCAR Playoffs in 2024. Ross Chastain was born on December 4, 1992, in Alva, Florida. He debuted in NASCAR in the 2018 Cup Series with Premium Motorsports. Nicknamed 'Watermelon Man,' Chastain turned the tables in 2022 when he joined Trackhouse Racing, securing his career-best finish of second in the Driver’s Standings.

Ross Chastain's wins

In the NASCAR Cup Series, he has five career wins, with his first victory coming at COTA in 2022 and his latest at Kansas in 2024. He also finished second in the championship standings in 2022, marking his best Cup season.

In the NASCAR Xfinity Series, he secured two wins, earning victories at Las Vegas in 2018 and Daytona in 2019.

In the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, he claimed five wins, including his first at Kansas in 2019 and his latest at Darlington in 2024. His best season came in 2019, when he finished runner-up in the standings.

As per NASCAR's official website, Ross Chastain has two pole positions in his NASCAR Cup Series career as of March 2025. Chastain won his first pole position at the 2023 Ally 400. He went on to win the race. Chastain also won a pole position at the 2024 Go Bowling at Glen. However, he could not win the race and finished fourth. Additionally, he has four pole finishes at Truck series and one pole finish at Xfinity series as of 2025.
