Austin Cindric had a blast at the Atlanta Motor Speedway last Sunday, and NASCAR recently shared a glimpse of the post-interview with driver number 2 on their X account. In the interview, Cindric praised his teammates for their performance at the last event. The team Penske member said:
"The number two car was obviously great out front, leading the race, and Ryan and I were really able to dominate those first two stages. So, but just proud of everyone at Team Penske for performance. That combination has been so dominant on these Speedway tracks all year, and it's frustrating that it's taken us this long to get one, but obviously, congrats to 22 guys moving on and making it happen." Team Penske joined hands with Ford Motors in 2013 after being with Dodge for a decade, and since then the team has never looked back. In 2018, Joey Logano won the NASCAR CUP series for Team Penske for the first time with a Ford Mustang. In 2022, Logano lifted the Cup once more, and in 2023, Ryan Blaney won the Cup Series with a Ford Mustang.
Further, Austin Cindric went on to shed light on the minute mistake that he could have avoided and stated:
"I lost a ton of track position, but overall, yeah, past that. Execution-wise, really strong. Speeding our car, really strong. I kind of wish I would have run in traffic a little longer because I would have probably made some more adjustments on my car." [00:00]
However, despite all this, Austin Cindric dominated both stages one and two with his performance. He was the runner in stage one, and in stage two he was in first position. But as the race ended, Cindric finished in tenth place, but his teammate won the race.
Austin Cindric's and Team Penske's performance at the Speedways
Team Penske is dominating the points table and all the Speedways tracks with their remarkable performance. The last race was also held at a speedway track, the Atlanta Motor Speedway, and Joey Logano won the race. Ryan Blaney was placed third, and Austin Cindric was in tenth place.
Apart from that, Ryan Blaney also won the Iowa Speedway back in June 2024, and Blaney even dominated stage 1 of the race. In May, Joey Logano won the All-Star Race held at the North Kesboro Speedway, and Ryan Blaney was also in the top 5. All of Team Penske's three drivers are in the top 10 on the leaderboard.
Ryan Blaney is leading the top 10 with 2071 points and two wins, along with four stage wins, eight top 5, and twelve top 10. Joey Logano is in fifth place with 2054 points. Additionally, two wins, two stage wins, five top 5s, and nine top 10s this season. Austin Cindric is in seventh place with 2053 points. Apart from that, he has one win, three stage wins, two top 5, and four top 10.
