Stewart-Haas Racing, a team with over two decades of NASCAR racing history, closed up shop at the end of the 2024 season. The news about the team shutting its operations took the entire NASCAR community by surprise.

Starting its journey in 2002 as Haas CNC Racing under the leadership of Gene Haas, the team tranformed into SHR with the arrival of Tony Stewart in 2008. After that, the team managed to win three championships, two in Cup Series (2011, 2014) and one in Xfinity Series (2023).

As of now, the North Carolina-based team has won a total of 101 races across the three top national series (70 in Cup, 30 in Xfinity, and one in Truck Series). Here's a look at the top 5 winningest drivers in the history of Stewart-Haas Racing:

#5. Chase Briscoe (2 wins for Stewart-Haas Racing)

Chase Briscoe began his Cup Series career with SHR in 2021. Since then, the Indiana-based racer has started 144 races, with 30 top 10 finishes, two pole positions, and two career wins so far (both for SHR).

However, with the team giving away the #14 charter at the end of the year, Briscoe is set to join Joe Gibbs Racing as the replacement to Martin Truex Jr. in the #19 Toyota.

#4. Ryan Newman (4 wins for SHR)

With a Cup Series career spanning over two decades, Ryan Newman was a part of Stewart-Haas Racing from 2009 to 2013. Of his 18 race victories, four came during his time with the Tony Stewart led squad, driving the #39 Chevrolet.

Apart from the wins, Newman also had 81 top 10 finishes to his name during his time at SHR.


#3. Kurt Busch (6 wins for SHR)

The 2004 NASCAR Cup Series champion drove for SHR from 2014 to 2018, before departing for Chip Ganassi Racing in 2019. During his time with team, he emerged victorious in six races and finished 90 times in the top 10.

The highlight of Busch's time with the #14 team was the Daytona 500 win in 2017. Apart from his wins with SHR, Busch won 27 more races in his 24-year stint in the Cup Series.


#2. Tony Stewart (16 wins for SHR)

Before joining Haas CNC Racing as a 50% owner in 2008, Tony Stewart had won two Cup Series championships (2002 and 2005). With his arrival, the team was named Stewart-Haas Racing. As an owner-driver from 2009 to 2016, Stewart competed in a total of 262 races, winning 16, and finishing 101 races in the top 10.

After retiring as a full-time driver at the end of 2016, Stewart shited his focus on Top Fuel racing under the Tony Stewart Racing banner.


#1. Kevin Harvick (37 wins for SHR)

Former NASCAR Cup Series Champion Kevin Harvick is the winningest driver in the history of Stewart-Haas Racing. Of his 60 career wins, 37 came during his time at SHR. Harvick's journey with team began in the 2014 season. He won his first and only championship in his debut season with the #4 SHR squad.

During his time with the North Carolina-based NASCAR team, Harvick won 37 races and had 235 top 10 finishes. The Californian racer eventually retired as a full-time driver with Stewart-Haas Racing in 2023.
