Ryan Preece had injuries after enduring a horrific crash at Daytona International Speedway in a racing incident. Ryan Preece is a full-time NASCAR Cup Series driver who races the No. 41 Ford Mustang Dark Horse for Stewart-Haas Racing. He is a native of Berlin, Connecticut in the United States. Preece is 33 years old, as of August 2024, and was born on October 25, 1990. Ryan Preece has been racing in NASCAR for 6 years. He has started 170 races and procured 13 Top-10s in the series. He is yet to win a race in the Cup Series. He also has 62 race runs in the Xfinity Series with 2 victories.

Ryan Preece was involved in a dangerous accident in 2023 at the Coke Zero Sugar 400 held at the Daytona International Speedway. The incident took place on August 26th during the second stage of the race. It was during lap 157 that he crashed and spun around his car at the apron. His car lifted up due to aerodynamic forces and rolled over on its roof. His car violently rolled nearly 10 times after striking the grass upside down. Even though Preece was stretchered out of the incident, he was able to exit the car on his own accord.

He was examined in the hospital and expressed his disappointment at not being able to finish. Preece entered the Darlington race weekend without any problem. However, his condition and scars received widespread attention. Preece has two black eyes and both of his eyes were bloodshot from the wreck. He warded off the concerns, claiming it did not affect his eyesight and caused him any problems.

Ryan Preece was racing on the backstretch of the track, when he was bumped by Erik Jones who was behind him. The contact at such high speed sent him down the track. Preece collided with his teammate Chase Briscoe before getting spun around on the apron. His car later barrelled towards the run off.

He suffered from bilateral subconjunctival hemorrhaging caused by the g-force ocular trauma. He experienced a force of 5-negative G’s while barreling in the air.
